Artifacts can be removed at any time, just like any other type of equipment, and stored in the cargo bay or in planetary storage. Most modifiers are positive, though some Artifacts provide a penalty of some sort to offset the power of its bonuses. Once installed in a slot, the Artifact immediately provides the relevant modifier. A few Hull types provide none, and cannot be fitted with any Artifacts. Most Hulls provide up anywhere between 1 and 4 Artifact slots.
There may be additional ways to acquire them as well.Īn Artifact can be installed into your ship's Artifact Slots, if it has any. Artifacts are rare Items whose purpose is to add special modifiers or abilities to your ship, most of which are not provided by other types of equipment.Īrtifacts cannot be acquired by destroying enemies in combat Instead they can be acquired as an uncommon reward for completing Missions, or as reward for winning a Black Hole encounter.
