Very regular, very frequent modem reboots. We have lived in our house for 10 years, and for the first 6 the internet was terrible. If it wasn't for the fact that you say the outages only happen from April to June, I would swear you had the same issue I had. You can search how to access the cable modem's logs unless you have a Technicolor.Īnyone with AT&T internet gigabit and regular internet speed connections have the same drop outs or internet disconnects during these months? How about all year around? Has anyone noticed their Time Warner Cable internet slow down during the months of April to June? Unless the lights on the cable modem are constantly being watched or the cable modem's logs are checked regularly it would only show as a short one to two minute slow down in internet speed. The call center said the reboots were not due to high neighborhood network traffic. Another tech came out the next year and replaced all the connections on the coax cables including the coax wall jack where the coax connects to the wall.
I have already made many calls to the TWC call center and had TWC techs over and the first year they replaced the line in the front yard going from the TWC pedestal to the side of my house. The rest of the year I do not have any of these cable modem reboots. Now I have a Technicolor TWC cable modem rental and I can not access the modem logs so I have been using my router's logs and I see that it rebooted twice in one hour last night then again after about two to five minutes even though the TWC app on my phone shows a green check mark for internet connected status. The reason I know this is up until now I had a customer owned Arris SB6183 modem that I could pull up the cable modem page and check the logs and see the times when the modem was restarting with a time not established message and I would loose the internet connection and the online light on the cable modem would go out then come back on. I have TWC internet only with a separate router and every spring for the past three years starting around April my cable modem starts rebooting by it's self once early in the morning then starts rebooting every hour causing me to loose the internet connection with each reboot.
