The single player mode is just like playing a traditional shooting game with the player controlling one of many military squadrons fighting against a computer generated "enemy". Various games modes are available including the campaign, multiplayer mode and the endurance game. In the game of Battlefield 2, players can select their vehicles like tanks, jets, aircraft and robotic soldiers and engage in ground or air combat on the ground or in some cases on air.
The game can be obtained free of cost by those who own an Xbox Live account.
The game was launched in May 2021 and became successful through its viral marketing strategy. It has been designed by Popcap Games and published by Electronic Arts Incorporated. Battlefield 2 is a free downloadable PC game available in direct download.
